Is this accepted by the Miami-Dade Clerk?+
Yes. The course is delivered by Saint Michael University, a premarital course provider registered with the Miami-Dade Clerk of the Court and Comptroller under Fla. Stat. § 741.0305 (instructor: Dr. Jonathan A. Rodriguez), through the Lumen platform. You can confirm the registration in the Clerk's Premarital Course Provider Search. Other counties are coming soon — ask us before enrolling if you'll apply elsewhere.
What do we save?+
The clerk reduces the marriage-license fee by $32.50 and Florida residents skip the 3-day waiting period. The certificate must be dated within one year before you apply.
Do we both have to take it?+
Yes — the course is for the couple, and both names go on the certificate. You can do the lessons together or separately on one enrollment.
Do we need to be religious?+
No. Lumen is interfaith. The course is about your marriage, not our beliefs.
How is the certificate delivered?+
As a PDF by email the moment you finish (online) or the same day as your session (Zoom), with a public verification page the clerk can check.
